Frequently Asked Questions
Can I go paddle boarding if I am a weak swimmer or not able to swim at all?
The simple answer is yes; we would recommend finding an area of water which has a depth of approximately your waist to chest height.
This is due to there being minimal chance of getting hurt falling in, as the water is not too shallow, but is shallow enough for you to find your way up when you fall and touch the floor.
You personal bouyancy aid, will keep you afloat when you fall in and your leash ensures you are not seperated from the boarrd, which will offer you a floating service to help you get to shore.
Am I likely to get wet?
Now this is a tricky question.......no matter what, you are going to at least get your feet wet getting in and out of the water. Also, many people will get their feet wet just from paddling around.
To answer the question, it is easy to stay dry with some practice, however if you really don't want to fall in, paddle boarding may not be the activity for you. Everytime you go out on a paddle board, you need to be willing to take a risk falling in the water.
Where are you located?

Clothing
Wear Light and breathable clothing that won't weigh you down or cause you to overheat. We would recommend quick drying materials such as nylon, polyester or swimwear. Wet suits can also be worn, it really depends on the temperature of the water.
Footwear
Avoid flip flops or other types of shoes that could slip off an get lost in the water. Look for water shoes with good grip and support to keep your feet secure.
Hat, Sunglasses and Sun Screen
The sun can be really intense on the water, so it is important to protect yourself from harmful UV rays.

Paddle boarding is one of the easiest and most relaxing water sports in the industry for beginners - and becoming a proficient paddle boarder is well in your grasps. If you prefer not to stand, you are welcome to sit and paddle.
