swansea Canal
Built over 200 years ago for horse-drawn barges, Swansea canal is now making waves for Paddleboarders. It is not very deep and there is no worry about tides, which makes this an ideal spot for paddleboarding.
It flows from Clydach SA6 5PE to Pontardawe SA8 4EB and from Pontardawe SA8 4EB to Ynusmeudwy SA8 4QJ, navigable for around 5 miles. The rest of the route is open to cyclists and walkers, but the canal is otherwise overgrown and not ideal for Paddleboarding.
Much of the canal is surrounded by woodland and a great place to observe nature.
